Transferring food from the chopping board to the bowl – or waste to the compost bin – can get messy, especially if you’re dealing with something that tends to roll off the board, spill juice anywhere, or both (see) you , Cherry tomatoes).
The TidyBoard, available from Kickstarter, is a cutting board with attached containers that you can use to brush your ingredients straight in to make it easier to prepare meals while saving some space on the counter. The board itself is 15 inches by 20 inches, and the container that fits into its empty slot is 14 inches long, 5.75 inches wide, and more than 4 inches deep. Two smaller containers fit in the large ones, so you can easily separate your ingredients.
Even though the 4-pound board hangs on the edge of your counter, good old-fashioned physics prevents it from tipping over ̵
You can keep food in smaller containers with matching lids. and since they’re all made from BPA-free silicone, feel free to put them in the microwave. (First remove the small plug on top of the lid to get a built-in steam hole.)
The TidyBoard made of bamboo not only repels bacteria, but also does not dull your knives and does not let strong odors penetrate them. In short, it is an opportunity to make cutting, cleaning, storing and eating easier, clearer and more efficient. Prices start at $ 79 and are expected to ship in October 2020.
