The Maldives are located approximately 800 km from Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean and are a popular holiday destination. A luxury experience on the tropical island is usually associated with luxury prices. This summer, however, a lucky visitor will receive a stay at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu Resort for which all costs will be paid. In return, they are asked to take care of the resort's sea turtles. Departure Reports
Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is looking for a summer intern who will be working at his turtle rescue center for 14 days in August 2019. During this time, they are responsible for feeding the animals, cleaning their tanks, and being present during operations. They may also be able to discharge rehabilitated turtles into the ocean and conduct rescue missions to collect vulnerable specimens. In her spare time, the trainee is expected to report on the appearance in the social media.
The internship is unpaid but has many valuable benefits that typical summer jobs do not offer. Flights, meals at the on-site restaurant and villa accommodation are offered. If you do not work with turtles, the interns may use some free activities offered by the resort, such as: For example, a sunset cruise, a beach BBQ, and a snorkeling tour of the Baa Atoll.
