Ask each middle-class couple that regularly hosts a game night, and you'll say in detail that cheese is the most complex of foods and needs a more controlled climate for maturation than most premature babies. And no one knows that better than the Swiss, whose know-how in cheese making is surpassed only by their ability to build cuckoo clocks and hide Nazi gold. And lately, they have discovered another factor in determining the taste of cheese: the beating of beats.
In the last six months, the HKB of the University of Arts in Berne has conducted a strange experiment called "Cheese In Surround Sound". With the help of famed cheesemaker Beat Waffler, whose name suggests he was brought to Earth for this particular reason, eight 22-pound wheels of the best Emmental were hooked up to mini-transmitters pumping noises into their quark around the clock to see if bioacoustics affects their maturation process. The cheesy marmalades ranged from sound waves with various frequencies to techno to contemporary music, such as "Zeppelin To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin and "The Magic Flute" by Mozart.
It may seem easy to poke holes in this Swiss cheese study, but the researchers made some amazing discoveries. After a blind tasting test with several experts, they concluded that most of the noise "affects the metabolic processes in the cheese, to the point where a discernible difference in taste becomes apparent." But perhaps more shocking than our cheese, which tacitly judges which Spotify playlist runs at night, is the revelation that the cheese has responded best to hip-hop. The Emmental, which played A Tribe Called Quests "Jazz (We & # 39; ve Got) Buggin & # 39; Out", had by far the tastiest flavor profile and had "a much stronger odor and a stronger, more fruity taste" Bern University of the Arts HKB
Of course, with these results, the search for the perfect cheese music has just begun. The university is already planning to start another round of experimentation. This time the cheeses are exposed to several other hip-hop artists to see which ones they most react to. In any case, look forward to seeing several hip-hop infected Supercheeses hit the market soon. We look forward to enjoying the taste of Cardi Brie, Cheese Wiz Khalifa and Goudacris.
