Taking a photo and instantly sharing it on social media is definitely handy, but it’s still so satisfying to have the printed photo – as if you’re actually holding the memory in your hands. The new Kodak STEP cameras now offer the best of both worlds.
As the name suggests, the Kodak STEP instant printing digital camera, which is available on Amazon for $ 70, lets you take a picture and print it on the same device. Not only can you skip the tedious process of uploading photos to your computer and printing them on your bulky, non-portable printer (or worse, waiting for your local pharmacy to print them for you), you’ll never need them either to deal with ink cartridges or toner. The Kodak STEP comes with a special 2 x 3 inch printing paper that is inlaid with color crystals that bring your picture to life. There is also an adhesive layer on the back, so you can easily stick your photos on laptop sleeves, scrapbooks or whatever.
For those of you looking to add some extra flair to your photos, you might like the Kodak STEP Touch, which is available for $ 1
If you want to print photos from your smartphone gallery, there is the Kodak STEP Instant Mobile Photo Printer. This $ 80 portable printer connects to any iOS or Android device with Bluetooth capabilities and can print any photos you send to it.
All three Kodak STEP units come with some magical printer paper, but you can order additional refills – a 20-sheet set costs $ 8 on Amazon.
