While Harry Potter definitely never made a zoom call with his classmates, video chat technology has some similarities to communicating through flea powder, portrait hopping, or Sirius Black's mysterious mirror. To make your next zoom meeting a little more magical, switch your background to one of your favorite places in the wizarding world.
As Screen Rant reports, some particularly kind-hearted Twitter users have offered their own personal photos of the Harry Potter film sets as potential backgrounds for other fans. For example, "Socially Distant Dave" ( @ddryan ) shared snapshots taken during a Warner Bros. studio tour in London; There's a picture of Dumbledore's eccentric office with the sorting hat on the usual shelf, a view of Diagon Alley with Ollivanders, Flourish & Blotts, the eye-catching Weasleys & # 39; Wizard Wheezes and much more.

There are also many photos taken of people in the magical world of Harry Potter or elsewhere with Harry Potter themes and on websites for sharing of images like Unsplash and Flickr. and many of them can be used if you credit the owner. From the cozy Weasley burrow to the (possibly even more cozy) Gryffindor common room, you'll find some of our favorites below.
Instructions for changing the zoom background as well as some other images of popular culture can be found here. 1. The Burrow
When your zoom call ends, you can help the Weasleys escape the garden before dinner.
2. Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom
Professor Lupine is looking for a Boggart that can be used for Dementor practice later in the evening and has given you permission to use his empty classroom in the meantime for Use video chats with your classmates. 3. Honeydukes
Get sugar quills, fizzing whizzbees, and a nice large bar of Honeydukes & # 39; classic chocolate before your late morning meeting if it cuts into your lunch break.
4. Platform 9 ¾
With your team, you can press a quick zoom touch base before driving through the barrier, but don't lose track of the time – the Hogwarts Express will depart exactly at 11:00 AM and wait for you nobody.
5. The Gryffindor Common Room
The afternoon was booked out with successive video calls? Take an armchair by the fire – they are particularly squeezing.
6. Hogwarts Castle
This sweeping view of beautiful Hogwarts Castle could convince you to reread the entire Harry Potter series as soon as your last zoom call of the week ends.
