Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham over the final season: "We're all going to die"

If you want to get lost in a Reddit rabbit hole, check out the Game of Thrones and Game of Thrones Theories Subreddits. Since the end of Season 7 in August 2017, fans have been furious with what they think will happen in the last season. You can even comb through old episodes and interviews and reread George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series for clues. Now that we've finally seen a few teasers in season eight, fans have begun to analyze even the smallest details to find out what future they might announce. There is only one problem: The promos seem to have nothing to do with the details of last season.

The fansite Winter Is Coming has recently reopened an interview with actress Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, from the New York Comic Con in October 201

8. She said that the latest teaser in which Sansa, Arya Stark and Jon Snow faced with their own statues, is actually irrelevant to the last season. According to Turner:

"We did this promo for Season 8, where – I do not know if I can really say that. Actually no. It has nothing to do with the series; It's just a promo. It was this great statue of me, Sansa, and I wanted to have her in the garden of my new house. But apparently they would not send it from Belfast to New York, so … "

Since its debut more than a week ago, the latest teaser has spawned a series of fan-theories, speculating that Bran Stark is either the Night King or The three-eyed Raven to Jon Snow is one of the few (or only) survivors of the series.

Although it seemed obvious that the teaser was not an actual Season 8 material, all fans had a meaning about about the final season of the series. The fact that Turner was able to talk about it without revealing spoilers is strong evidence that he has no clues as to how everything will end. Which shows that we know nothing like Jon Snow.

Game of Thrones returns for the last time on April 14, 2019.
