medications for motion sickness, irritable bowel syndrome or overactive bladder;
other narcotics ̵
a tranquilizer such as Valiumdiazepam, Alprazolam, Lorazepam, Xanax, Klonopin, Versed and others;
Medications that make you sleepy or slow your breathing – a sleeping pill, a muscle relaxant, a drug used to treat mood disorders or mental illness.
Which drug is misused more often?
It has been found that oxycodone is more commonly misused than oral morphine and hydrocodone in nine good clinical trials.
Abuse of opioids remains a major challenge in countries like the US, Mexico and Canada. The reported abuse rates in North America are almost five times the global average (3.7% vs. 0.7% in the rest of the world). More than 16,000 deaths occur each year with overdoses of opioids containing mainly oxycodone, hydrocodone or methadone.
More than 99% of the world's hydrocodone consumption is in the United States. mainly because hydrocodone is not widely used or used internationally. Although widely used, oxycodone consumption outweighs any other country at 84% of the world's availability.
